I got a bug report for the Debian fdutils package,

I seems that the USB floppy driver makes the floppy
look like a SCSI hard disk. So superformat's check
whether it is talking to a floppy drive naturally
fails.
I have no idea what should be done here.
Any suggestions?
A warning, at best. superformat _cannot_ be used on a USB floppy because
there is no direct access to the floppy controller. I suggest people use
one of the SCSI format utilities, which will format the floppy for them.
It is also to be noted that non-standard floppies cannot be read in a
USB floppy drive. So get/setfdprm is also useless.
